Field Voyage #6

Today; Friday November 24, 2017 . 12:25 PM' Length of Day: 9 Hours 25 Minutes.  Sunset at 5:14 PM 55 degrees: 10 MpH wind, sunny Today, the river rose again over my tree: however, just over the feet of my boots. In total, the rive is about a foot higher than usual though. It hasn't rained in a bit this week and it is really warm compared to lately too. There were no sounds of animals or fish in the water like the first visits: even though it's warmer the animals have set up for winter.   Here's me. Thats my tree. He doesn't have a name, but its a he. this is a map of the precipitation within the past 24 hours. moisture in the soil. As you can see, it has been pretty wet in the region.

Field Voyage #5

November 15, 2017 Today, I have waited until the last day and it is yet again, sprinkling. The water levels lowered from the river and the tree is back on land. It is warmer than the usual for this week today at 47 degrees fareinheight. It sounded like rain and there wasn't fish jumping in the river. Sunset is at 5:21 PM.

Thursday, October 26, 2017 Today was the coldest day since Spring break. It was pretty chilly this morning at 32* but during the day it was mid 40s with a high of 55. It is sunny. However, this past weekend, Sunday,Monday, and Tuesday especially it was pouring, a lot of water and flooding around the area. Wrote that part before actually going there. Update: IT IS FLOODED. The third trial testing spot on my tree is underwater. The Water is almost up to my waste and the tree was 2 feet away from the river originally. Sunset today is at 6:44PM and the day is 10 hours, 33 minutes long. this is a graph showing the moisture in the soil today this is a graph showing the change in moisture from September. October 14, 2017 Today is rainy and cloudy. While I was fielding it was pouring. Not sprinkling lightly, pouring. the temperature is 61 degrees Fahrenheit. Today I couldn't hear the birds or the crickets. I could hear the rain though. The water was moving a little bit because of this. This is a map of the soil moisture in mm of the area using the data collected from yesterday.  This is a map of the precipitation within the past 24 hours in the Midwest.

September 29, 2017 5:45 PM today is 11 hours, 49 minutes long Today while I was fielding, it was windy, sunny, and 62. It was in the 80s all week and today and yesterday have cooled down. This map shows the change from the last blog post to this one in terms of the subsoil moisture. As shown, you can see how the ground has dried out in Michigan. Field Voyage #1 September 5

September 5, 2017 5:35 PM .        The day is 12 hours 53 minutes long. Today while I was fielding, it was 63 degrees and sprinkling with a light breeze rustling the leaves of the trees.
